I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I just want to know what you all think? I've been using Jarrows Formula that I get from iherb. It's not that pricey but oh my gosh, look at these prices at Puritan's Pride

Puritan's is a good company. If the $$ works out, I'd go for it.

The methyl is probably made from a major supplier and everyone else buys from them.

I did notice this in their new catalog and I thought I posted about it, but now I cannot find where I did!

I see this as a very good move forward, that the demand for the better methylB12 is good!

I'll stick with Jarrow. Puritan Pride lied to me about the gluten status of one of their other meds, when I caught the lie, they denied it was gluten. I can't trust them now, not as a celiac, besides, it doesn't say what the plant source is, which is probably soy, and I can't have that either. I never buy without the disclaimer saying no gluten, no wheat, no soy, etc.

I will however let friends know whom are not gluten free.

I've been using Puritan's Pride vitamins for years. Thankfully I don't have to go gluten free. And with the economy, anytime I can save twenty bucks on my vitamins and Methyl B-12 to boot, well, I'll go for it.

I think the Methyl B-12 is starting to help Alan.

Today he didn't have as much neuropathy pain, but then again, we are having a mini-hurricane in NYC. And any time there is a hard hard rain, he goes "Ah, my feet feel good".

He slept 9 straight hours from when he went to bed.

So we cross our fingers, eat right, and take vitamins and minerals.

And I sprout.

Yeah, that mini-hurricane hit here too. 4" of rain, and 55-60 mph winds..after the computer and tv went down for the 3rd time, I went to bed. Thankfully, we never did lose power completely, only for minute or so at a time. Enough for Cablevision to aggravate me!

I wish gluten wasn't an issue for me, if not, then probably I wouldn't have any of these other issues either.;)

I used to take Puritan Pride's liquid B12 until I found out cyna wasn't the right type, then I switched to Jarrow. I was very aggravated when they lied about the gluten in their Woman's Mulitple vitamin, and have not been back...loved the buy one, get 2 free though.

You want gluten free? You want to be able to eat a nice dish of pasta with any sauce you like.

Just to see how this looks and is served, I went to youtube and typed in Miracle Noodles.

Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather. I watched all the videos, and when I found one where the person actually tasted it in front of the webcam, and exclaimed: "Oh my goodness, this tastes exactly like spaghetti", I was hooked.

I then watched more videos and found out that you don't necessarily have to purchase this on the internet. That certain asian markets sell these.

Well!!!! SUCCESS!!!

Well, living in Brooklyn, I am surrounded by various asian markets.

I walked into one, went into their refrigerator section, where they have all the packages of various things like fish balls (I have no idea what these are) but I poked around and sure enough I found the noodles.

The ones I found are not called Miracle Noodles. But the ingredients and the contents are exactly the same.

Mine are called KONNYAKU Yam noodles

No fat, all fiber, it's packaged in liquid. you just open up, drain and rinse a few times and do whatever you wish with it. Add tomatoe sauce, add sweet and sour, or teriyaki WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO WITH THESE NOODLES.

it says on the package serving size is 7 pieces. In this particular package the noodles are like dumplings. You just unfold them, use your fingers and separate them and it's angel air pasta.

Since there are 14 pieces, one serving size is 7 pieces. Seven pieces of these (which would unfold to a lot of angel hair pasta, would be 50 calories, and 13 grams of carbs. 8 grams of fiber.

For me, I would use 2 of these dumpling things, and add my fresh veggies, add a little low sodium teriyaki sauce, and the whole thing would maybe be 25 or so calories.

YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS. I'm a diabetic and I eat low-glycemic all the time.

This is practically no-glycemic.

I'm still searching for the Shirataki noodles, (the ones in the miracle noodles). They are zero calories, zero everything.

But I was so happy to find the KONNYAKU yam noodles, well tonight we try it out.

I'll probably make a video and put it up on youtube.

I am posting the link in my glutenzap forum. My diet is very limited now, I eat no grains, no nightshades, no cruciferous veggies...I will see if any of them want to try this, and they will test to be sure there is no gluten. We celiac/gluten intolerants are offered many, many foods that are labeled "gluten free" when actually, they still contain gluten, and make many of us ill. I will see if anyone in the forum have heard of this. Thanks!

I think it's great you keep finding things you can have as a diabetic that please you. Keep at it.:hug:

I just went to the diabetic forum and posted the link to my video on youtube.

Tonight I made Alan veggies with the noodles and tomato sauce.

For me, I made beef lo mein. WITHOUT THE BEEF, and using the noodles. I use Gardein Beef Tips.

I never enjoyed a meal like that in QUITE A LONG TIME.

These noodles are wonderful.

Then I certainly hope one of the testers in Glutenzap will give them the vote of approval. I am really tired of testing a product, only to be sick for a month afterwards.

I am just coming off a glutening of vinegar, and most celiac's will swear there is no gluten in vinegar, but there is, and this group has proved it, along with my system.:( I hate being a guinea pig!
