New and With Tons Of Pain
:pHello and Glad to Be Here, But Not So Happy To BE IN PAIN!!! I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, as well as a very bad back, tear on L4/L5, bulging discs, spinal stenosis, and severe arthritis. I find myself in constant pain. I have tried many methods to try and feel better. Nothing really works. Some take the edge off, but don't really work. I have tried multiple pain pills, currently taking Norco, and muscle relaxers. I use muscle rubs, ice, heat, massage, hot baths, and much more when I can. I just was hoping to get some ideas on feeling better regarding pain. I really need to do something to get my pain levels down. Thanks for listening. Mary:confused:

Hi Mary, Welcome. :Wave-Hello:
Some pain can be caused/exacerbated by food triggers. See: chronic pain food triggers Perhaps a start... Doc |
Avoid muscle relaxers if you can.

try to exercise!
Don't over do it when you have those "ok" feeling days. When I have the good days I try to do as much as possible bc they rarely come around. Unfortunately, for me anyway, its like making a deal w the devil. I get an awesome day where I could do cartwheels, then about 10 days in a row of Dantes Inferno. Also, try and follow the chronic pain food triggers link that Doc suggested. I've been following it for over a month and I believe its helping! You also lose a few lbs and that will put a smile on anyones face! Hang in there honey! I'm doing it without any meds and as a single mom to a two yr old. Totally sucks but I'm trying to approach it the way my pain doctor suggested. "You just do it" (he clearly doesn't suffer from chronic pain and was referring to how I should deal w life). This group has helped me a ton. From advice to just venting. We will help!
