So sorry I ever got implants

SMH - When my teeth were loose and dentists told me they had to come out I was devastated. The thought of implants made me feel so much better, so I got them... but...

It's 20 years down the road and infection has been a huge problem around the implants, which subsequent dentists have said are "the old kind" which had a bumpy surface to help bone grow attached to them...

When I had tetanus the infection was so bad my face was swollen. Luckily, since at the time I had no money for doctor or dentist, I used a lot of vitamin C and that put the infection under control.

I have had to keep using quite a lot of vitamin C to keep the infection from flaring up...

Problem now is that a jagged metal circle has come through my gum... I so do not trust the majority of dentists that I've seen.

But, the stress of this problem is beginning to affect my nerves, because I think it must be draining my vitamin B12. (Stress depletes B12).

So... quandary. Don't want to trust another dentist. Probably can't let more jagged metal continue to push through, especially now that my lip is beginning to rub against it...

Sigh.

Anyone else here with long term dental implant experience?

Just checking in to see if anyone had similar or different experience with implants to share...
