The way we did it before was to exchange addresses via PM's. That way, your address is protected from public view and you can exchange addresses with those you feel comfortable doing so with.

If you want to exchange postcards with someone just send them a PM asking if they'd like to swap addresses with you. I know some of us used our maiden names just for a little added privacy and/or protection. I haven't heard of anyone who regretted exchanging postcards and it seemed to be a fun thing for everyone. I think we sort of just all got busy last year with the holidays, etc. and it sort of just evaporated.

I found postcards at the Publix grocery store but I know others found them at rest areas and book stores. It's fun to get a card from someone else's home state or country. :)

You are such a sweetheart, Kelly. I don't do snail mail, because I don't get out, but maybe we could do postcards by E-mail.

That's a great idea! :) There are cards that can be sent by email, too.

I don't get out a whole lot, either. I buy my stamps via usps.com and they're mailed to me. Then, I just put whatever cards I want to send out in the mailbox for the mailman to pickup.

I never even thought about email cards, though. Thanks for suggesting that....E-cards are fun to get, too!

Is there a particular start time or do I just ask someone and go for it? I see that six people said yes...

Both me and my mum would be interested in doing the Postcard exchange again, Kitty!

We did the postcard exchange a little last year and found it pretty fun! It's always nice to recieve cards from someone in another country and always brightens up your day!!!

My mum checks my PMs most of the time so she keeps updated on any messages that are sent and knows that we can trust all of you so she said it was OK to start doing it again if everyone agrees!

Thanks for re-posting this!
