Limbo Check in 2/06

Hi everybody!

Are you all okay with this crazy weather? I can handle the warm, and even with the T storms my head has been okay. So far so good here.

I rescheduled my PCP appt for next thurs, thanks for all the advice about versed. I think even without it that would be too much in one day. An hour ride one way, then the facet test, the ride home. Supposed to move around for a while. Then a trip the other way to see the other doc. I'd need to sleep 2 days to recover.

:o

And the baby will be in the house so no chance of resting.

I aslo need to mention this blasted hip to the pain doc. It has not let up and is really bugging me.

Ah, but yesterday was nice. All alone for a couple hours. I did nothing. Took a little soak in the tub and watched tv. I SO needed that!

:)

Hugs to all. Hope you're hangin' in there.

I'm doing fine with the weather here, so far.

Not much going on with me this week, just my legs seam to stay numb more than they are not numb. :(

I haven't been able to get an appt. yet for an eye Dr. and DH didn't make my appt. with the PCP last week (he had to call about our son so I asked him to make my appt. at the same time, but he forgot  ). I'm having a hard time seeing Dr.'s lately because I seam to have a sick kid or two home EVERYDAY and don't have any one that can watch sick kids in the day.

Hope everyone else is having a good week so far. :grouphug:

I just got an appt. with the eye Dr., Friday at 10:30.

I only had 2 kids, and there were germs enough then. So I can only imagine what this time of year can be like for you and you have my sympathies!

2 things I found that help - and I was skeptic but ready to try anything lol - Clorox wipes and the Hard Surface spray. My dd catches every germ going around. And with the granddaughter in the house I had to do something. I go around with the wipes about every other day and hit all the phones, remotes, door knobs tables - anything we touch that I can wipe.

Some of the baby toys I can use them on too.

Bigger stuff I use the spray after I clean it, like trash cans and the baby gate.

Really cut down how often dd got sick which helped with the baby not catching it from her.

Now if all the other sick people stayed home and kept their kids out of school, you'd be all set, huh? Good luck.

Thank you.
I do Lysol and Clorox everything (my last 5 babies were preemies so we have always watched for germs when someone in the house is sick).
I agree that parents need to keep there sick kids home and stop sending them to school.

Good Morning Limbo buddies-

Hubby is finally home - YEAH! We quickly fell back into our normal routine, including him leaving his dirty clothes on the bathroom floor:mad: Oh well, still glad to have him home. I really missed him after a few days. Three weeks is way too long to be in charge (and with no transportation)

Swim practice for my team of SO athletes went well last night but being on my feet for 2 1/2 hours is had. I am still paying for it this AM and will all day. Big news is one of y athletes FINALLY was able to get all the motions down to dive off the blocks. It took three years but he did it. I feel like a proud Momma!

I got named to an expert panel that is developing long term recovery disaster case management standards. Pretty impressive folks are on the list (and then they threw in little old me to balance things out - ha) Lots of work but am getting into it with gusto. It is nice to know the old brain works on occassion. Reminds me that I still "have it" in some areas. Thankfully my cog fog didnt hit during the conference call meeting.

Weather turned beautiful yesterday and even opened the windows. Will do it again today until the storms roll in. Expect to be activated tonight to respond so I have to get my gear ready sometime (but for now am longing in my jammies)

Time for another refil on the big cup of java juice. Anyone seen the cabana boy? TC all

Hi everyone!! We're in for another snowstorm today (thank goodness it didn't hit yesterday-election day in Illinois). I'm finally getting tired of the snow now...enough!
After the 2 wks of oral prednisone in Dec., the sxs are slowly creeping back in. More neruopathic pain, new areas of twitching in body (feel like I have babies in calves, back, arm), more choking on food/drink when I try to swallow. I posted about this a few days ago, and I should call the neuro, but there's a part of me that just wants to ignore it, since I feel that my mind is just trying to be a hypochondriac.
Something new early this morning that caused me concern--I was lying in bed, relaxed and quiet, and I suddenly noticed that from the bottom of my ribcage down, my whole body was tingling the way it feels when your arm or leg goes to sleep. I watched my breathing, thinking maybe I was hyperventilating, but I wasn't. It went away after a few minutes, but it was weird...
I worked as an election judge yesterday, so the 16 hour day wiped me out for today. I'm relaxing and trying to just chill for the day. It was great to see so many people turn out to vote!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week...say a prayer for those who lost loved ones/property in the south yesterday.

feeling terribly cogfogged out....lost feeling in the mind...just chilling here with the little two and hubby is napping....might get up there once the little ones nap...so I can nap too.

I have five kids, never sanitized anything with sprays and such....they are very healthy kids...(knock on wood) but they are...we have only between five kids had one ear infection.....they generally stay very healthy....yeahhhhh

I feel sometimes you have to be exposed to germs, at least regular everyday ones...so that your body is used to them....I dont get into the antibacterial soaps and all that.....

anyhow..feeling lousy, and wishing I could finally some day just say, ohhh just having a ______ day!! be it MS day or whatever it is day.....

anyhow..having a few bad days here...I get a bit grumpy eventually when feeling bad, due to the limbo aspect....hugssss,sarah

Mine have always been very healthy also until this winter. My 3 oldest almost never get anything but we ALL had the flu this year, a cold and stomach bugs. There's so many things going around here this winter.

OK, I want to add one more grip, I'm shaking so bad today, it's so bad I'm even having a hard time walking. I checked my sugar level and it's good and I'm not nerves about anything. I guess it's just a bad case of tremors. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...y/dontknow.gif

Is there anything that helps?

Oh and it's 2:30 and the daily numbness from my lower ribs and down has set in. It seams really odd to me that this comes and goes every day like clock work. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...inky/fried.gif Also seams odd that I can poke my self (I use an end of a paper clip) and I don't feel any pain but than a minute or two later I feel it like I'm being pocked right than, still doesn't "hurt" tho. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...y/frazzled.gif
