Antivirus/Internet suite programs

I've downloaded a few and "tested" them on my machine.
Most have a 30 trial period so you can see if you like it.

I did buy McAfee last year so I am back to it for now until the subscription expires.

I "tested" these so far- besides the McAfee -

Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 http://us.trendmicro.com/us/products...security-2007/

Panda Internet Security 2008
http://www.pandasecurity.com/usa/hom...rnet-security/

For me I liked the Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 best-
it didn't bog or slow down my system at all, was very easy to set up and make my way around in the program, simple and not confusing.

Panda seemed to bog my system down - and it just wasn't as easy to navigate around in very much like the McAfee:(
confusing sometimes:(
The McAfee has some issue as far as configuring my wireless protection part so I just have to not use that - which is one of the reasons I bought it for!
the other 2 programs seemed to have no problem protecting my wireless connection- other than the Panda slowing it down alot!

and there are the free ones too listed in our stickys up above.

If I test any others I'll report here but as for now - when my McAfee expires I will get the Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 to replace it.

UPDATED

tried Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite and bought it.

Thanks for that, Jo. Great idea to let people know how they work out. I've tried so many of them. At present am using Kaspersky Internet Security and LOVING it.

The non profit I work for used the Trend soft ware you are talking about and
it is good most of the time. But I can't explain the problems we had exactly.

But we just switched to AVG75 I think it is And I really like it.

It works very well. They have a trial from you can try for free.

And then one you can purchase.

I've got Trend Micro now and like it better than Norton.

The best Antivirus/Internet suite programs to stick with would be:

Free AVG
Avast
Spybot Search & Destroy
CCleaner

Using those plus a good firewall, common sense and you're good to go! :)

Zone Alarm [ZA] - free, is as good a free firewall as you can get.
I've been using it for years and am very satisfied.
(forget M$oft's built in firewalls)
