amino acids-absorption

both of the amino acids I'm taking affect the absorption of the other, I'm trying to figure out how to take them without affecting the other. I was thinking maybe I could take L-tryptophan for a while and hold back on the N-acetyl cysteine. Just to get my serotonin levels up after coming off the ssri. they both say to take on empty stomach for best results without any other amino acids.

I take the jarrow NAC sustain.

blood brain barrier...

For aminos that need to get past the BBB (blood brain barrier)...
tryptophan is competed against by the others.

So take that alone away from any protein or other amino supplement. Using a little sweet or carb helps push it into the brain. For example take at bedtime on empty stomach with a little OJ.

I am not as familiar with NAC... so follow the label directions for that.
