Tremor with Fibromyalgia?

Does anyone have a tremor with there fibro symptoms? Mine is an internal tremor in right calf and in chest and abdomen upon awakening and during day if stressed. I am beginning to feel as though I may have Parkinsons disease instead of Fibromyalgia, as also have nerve pain rather than muscle pain.

Very confused and afraid.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Tremor & Fibromyalgia

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a year ago. I also have thoracic outlet syndrome and chronic pain syndrome. Honestly, I don't know what I have and the doctors I've seen can't seem to come to any agreement on the diagnosis. I am being treated with pain meds, muscle relaxers, anti-depressants, etc. The name of the problem isn't as important to me as being treated properly for the pain.

Basically I have chronic pain in my upper back and bilateal upper extremities due to a neck injury; but I've always had pain and weird symptoms for 20+ years, so not sure if they are related. The pain also starts in my hips and radiates down my thighs, sometimes to my feet. No objective findings.

As to the tremor, I've had that in my arms and hands for 25 years (since about 20). After several incorrect diagnoses, a very good neurologist (good in that I respect him and he listens) diagnosed me with "essential tremor". It is not parkinsons or MS. It is just a tremor that my body seems to need to do. The neurologist told me it can be controlled with muscle relaxers, but I passed on the treatment. It doesn't really bother me, so I just tremor away!

Good luck,

One more ? re: tremor

Thanks for the replies. As far as the tremor it sound like both of you have it on both sides, during movement, is that correct?

The reason I am worried about Parkinsons is mine is one one side at rest, also sometimes in chest and stomach upon awakening in morning.

If you could just confirm that yours are on both sides.

Thanks again.

Invisable,

I was, just yestrday in fact, diagnosed with Myalgia and Myositis and was given a packet on Fibromyalgia. I have, for quite some time have tremors in both my right and left hands. I also have a jerking motion in my right shoulder. I have to proof read all my entries as I will sometimes puch the same letter two or three times more than the word calls for. =~( May I ask why you're asking this question? What's the expectaion you hope to receive? You've said in other messages that you're do not have a really strong personality in that you are not aggressive enough with your doctors to ask the questions or push for answers. Do you hope to get the answers here to bring them up to your doctor on your next visit?

Oh, I also have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and legs. Don't think it helps but thought I'd mention it.
