Oesteophyte cause and pain

Hi was wandering if anybody could help or shed some light on my situation/diagnosis. Please beare with me as new here and is a bit long , basically it all started back in feb this year , the problem was not being able to lift my right leg as high as my left. I suffered no pain and could continue my daily job being a courier no problem with no other symptons. I visited my local gp back in feb and she didnt even assess me and told me to go to gym which i was quite shocked at considering im 36 , have 2 children , both parents work full time and am no where near overweight and considerably fit with hectic busy lifestyle.. However I never persisted this with doctor and made a big mistake by going to see a private physiotherapist in june of this year as wanted and thought my leg may need some treatment. I explained my situation to the physio and the first thing he did was straight to couch and place all his weight into my right leg trying to bend the approx 9 inches it wouldnt go back too. This lasted for 2 sessions 45 mins per session using straps and allsorts. On the last 5 minutes of the last treatment he decided to measure using the special instruments they use my angles ect and came to the conclusion i have a hip impingement...
More or less straight after i went back to gp and had a xray turns out i have a oesteophyte on my femur head with the possible diagnosis of slipped upper femoral emphisis or avascular necrosis.... All rather upsetting and stressfull but what hurts the most is since the day i walked out that phsios clinic i have been in soo much pain it is ridiculous. I now cannot carry out daily simple tasks clearly can not work and now suffer from right hip pain ,left hip pain , chest pain and upper back pain. I have been taking too many painkillers and this is now into week 8 since and i can only feel deteriation and pain now becoming regardless of the amount of pain killers i am using. I have been to my gp more times you can imagine and have a so called emergency appointment with a oesteopedic. Just over 8 weeks waiting time no matter what i do i can not speed this up and the doctors dont know or wont answer my questions which is very frustrating. WHat i wanted to know is if anyone else had anything similiar and I am convinced the bending has caused me chronic/mass inflammation and just doesnt seem to be going away , I am really worried and struggling to comprehend how now I am more or less in permanent pain and even more worrying my upper part of my body.......

I have the ostyophytes in my neck, which I hear crackling when I move it. I had one on my left shoulder in which put a small tear in my rotary cuff. I do not like PT as I think its all about the money and not your success. The more you move it,the more it grinds into you. I believe this anyways with many years of this experience. They are bone spurs,no PT will rid them. The doctor filed mine down on my shoulder to make it smooth. I am not familiar on the femur and if this is possible, but I believe so now a days what they can do. Go with your gut,and do lots of research on your own. Doctors are great, but not always for your benefit. My opinion anyways! Hope this helps a little

Unfortunately there are good PTs and bad PTs , as with anything... check em out before treatment , or if they seem to be not helpful, go elsewhere...

I've been to rookies and very good PTs it does vary. some aren't experienced and some are just putting in the time..but some are very good and care about helping you..

thanks for pms and some answers although after 8 weeks fianally got answers. Basically i have arthritis in my hip as well as an oesteophyte and slipped upper femoral emphisis some sort of growth problem. The specialist was rude and wouldnt help me with other problems because what i have been looking for is how its happened so quick. Basically the physio has caused me chronic inflammation and now i have pain in my left hip ,worse than the right the one with the problem. After all this i have been told basically if the arthritis has set in then nothing they can do for me other than a hip replacement or if not then bone shaving , how i love the nhs !!! now waiting for a mri :(
