couldn't think of another good title.

how about we give each other help on on finding alternatives for unhealthy snacks?

or since it's earth day...what can we do to make a change?

one thing i did was to save some of the little plastic cups that pudding and jello come im. i have been refilling them. a box of jello is cheaper..way cheaper...and filling them up is easy and no plastic garbage.
all the right measurement.

Healthy Snacks
 
GREAT IDEA, CURIOUS! I'd love some ideas for healthy snacks besides popcorn. I have at least a month before I can start to excercise. I'm going to try out walking, however, and see if my Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) allows me to do that without coming back and causing pain at night. I had my 2-week check-up yesterday in Sin City (Vegas). Guess what? My doc blew out his rotator cuff and is on medical leave! So his P.A. is sending me back to my regular pain doc now instead of waiting another month. I got my remote programmed better when I was there yesterday, which helps cut out another trip to Vegas where you take your life in your hands everytime you hit their freeways AND back streets. Accidents everywhere! An 8 car pile up happened after we left yesterday. Hubby was hit on the freeway and not one person stopped to help, not even the guy who hit him! It is very bad. I like my little city where even I can drive safely

ANYWAY, I digress - sorry! Snack ideas would be wonderful, I'll check some of my diet cookbooks, too.

for me, presentation and taking some time in the kitchen is motivating.

fresh fruit snacks. take the time to cut up and apple or pear. arrange it pretty on a plate with a dollop of yogurt in the middle. use a fancy plate. ya know...we all have those that are for special occasions. heck use them! brighten up your day.

i like radishes. hehee..i know..many people don't. doing those few slices to make them look like roses takes no time at all. a few of those and some cumumber slices...yum. healthy.

We did get the snacks outof the house all excrpt the Town Crackers and there is only 1 stack left. froggie

( i still have so much crappola going on at home...but working on my health will help with the stress. plus i missed y'all so much. :grouphug: )
