Craniopathy.

Has anyone heard of this? Thank you!

Craniopathy is just another term for the cranial part of Cranial Sacral Technique. There have been studies about reading and adjusting the skull bones. The same patient was analyzed by multiple CS Therapists and no two disgnosese or 'readings' were the same. This was done with multiple patients with the same results. The skull bones are fused usually by 15 years old with only very minor weaknesses at the sutures in some subjects at 25 years old.

The dura mater is flexible. It does not get out of alignment with the skull plates as is claimed by craniopathy practitioners.

I actually went to see a cranial sacral therpist last weekend. It did feel quite relaxing as I almost fell asleep on the table and I did feel tingling on the areas she was touching. Not sure what to make of it.

A good manipulation of the neck and back by a CST can be comforting and helpful. Attempting to adjust the skull plates is not such a good thing, though.

Hi I had cranial massage done one month into my Pcs symptoms. After each session
I would suffer with a really bad migraine for several days after.I kept going once a week
For 5 sessions but in the end I gave up as did not seem to improve my symptoms .but I guess we all react different .
That's just my experience .
I hope it helps you with yours .
Good luck to you, we have to keep trying as this is what gives us hope.
Regards. I am now 1 year to day with Pcs, i found yoga and refleology
To be very helpful. I am almost there, about 90%, but the other 10% just keeps hanging around..

Cranial Sacrial therapy

Both my neurologist and my NORA opthamologist recommended I try cranial sacral therapy, which I did. I did find it relaxing and I think it helped with my facial pain. I think it may be worth trying depending on your symptoms.
