yes...

here is part of an article i found and the link:

Treatment

There is no specific antidote for this poisoning. And the half life of the toxin is 17.5 hours in dogs. Induce vomiting in the first 1-2 hours if the quantity is unknown. Administering activated charcoal may inhibit absorption of the toxin. An anticonvulsant might be indicated if neurological signs are present and needs to be controlled. Oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, and fluids might be needed to protect the heart.

Milk chocolate will often cause diarrhea 12-24 hours after ingestion. This should be treated symptomatically (fluids, etc..) to prevent dehydration.

If you suspect your pet has ingested chocolate contact your Vet immediately! They can help you determine the the proper treatment for your pet.

he is fine that is why i wonder if it is bad or not. he didnt have the runs or throw up. he just was normal . he ate about 30 little dove chococlate bars with the wrappers on ,this was a few days ago. so i wonder because my sister had to bring her dog to vet and they induced vomit and all went well after. but her dog is way smaller .mines 55 pds hers is like maybe 10 or 15 pds. maybe the weight has something to do with it????
I am hoping to hear some stories from other people with dogs and see what they think or what happened with them and their dog pal.
thanks for the info and link. will keep it handy in the bookmark of favs. in case of emergency.

my grandpuppy is an 80 lb 1 1/2 yr old boxer. he ate my christmas present before my daugher got it wrapped. it was a gift box of 12 packages of gourmet coffee. my daughter said not much coffee was left.

weight and size has a lot to do with it. needless to say...grandpuppy was extremy hyper...and she made her bf go get me another gift package of coffee's. :p he was supposed to be puppy sitting.

;) maybe the wrappers added fiber. i'm glad he is ok. but dang...30 little dove bars...i'd be cryng if somebody ate my choccy...:(
