Using Lidocaine (LMX) Cream?

All,

I have had some success with Lidoderm patches. They contain 5% Lidocaine.

I was wondering if anyone has used LMX or any other OTC cream that contains 5% lidocaine. I was thinking of using a cream like this and covering it. My wife used to work for a dermatologist and said they used a similar product and a bandage for children when prepping them for wart removal.

Hi, I have the patches also but if I don't want to put one and the pain or itching isn't extreme I use Lanacane. It seems to work for me:)
