anyone tried fermented cod liver oil and butter oil?

I am thinking of trying them. The high vitamin butter oil is expensive and never heard of fermented cod liver oil so wanted to find out if others have tried and seen good results health wise? Thanks in advance

There is evidence, new evidence that taking Vit A with D affects the absorption of the D. They compete for the same transporter.

I can't see any benefit from cod liver oil these days, with the new
Vit D products that are Vit D3 and very inexpensive. One can taylor their D dose more easily since cod liver oil will force you to take A with any increased dosing. High dose Vit A is not safe (retinol). Most people need more D than cod liver oil provides.

I have switched to ghee...for our stir frying. It is very inexpensive and available now at WalMart of all places.

Hi MrsD and thanks for the information. Yes you are right about cod liver oil being toxic and I believe it is due to the synthetic vitamin A and D they put back in the oil after it has been bleached. But from my understanding fermented cod liver oil is the best form because it has not been tainted with.

This article explains the difference in case you're interested =)

Sorry I don't know much about this new fermented cod liver oil.

I tend to select more pharmaceutically prepared supplements, because of my training. There are many places doing things that make the supplement cost more money, in the end and they can sound seductive.

When one needs and spends a bit of $$ on these things, one needs to get quality and affordability as a priority. So I don't feel the fermented cod liver oil would deliver anything superior to quality D3, made by a good company for much less $$.
I am using 4000IU of D3 for example.
