Medical marijuana for TOS
Here is an interesting article on the general topic:
"Why I changed my mind on weed" By Dr. Sanjay Gupta http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/08/health...ind-marijuana/ In the context of TOS, and specifically chronic muscle spasms, is it worth trying? Especially for flare ups? Anyone here with either experience or science-based knowledge? |
Marijuana Card
I had a medical marijuana card about three years ago and I thought smoking it was helpful. That was kind of at the beginning of my mobility quest. At that time, I was in such bad shape that it helped calm my nervous system down and it was easier to do my exercises. My muscles relaxed more and didn't fight me as much. It was also helpful with the pain and muscle spasms.
The thing I didn't like about it was it threw off my perception of time and speed. I couldn't drive when I was on it. The card cost $125 and you have to renew it yearly, so I only had it for one year. The pot was a little pricey as well. The kind of fun thing about it was, the distributor had all these different strains of pot so I would buy several different ones and some of them had different effects than others. Before that, I thought marijuana was all the same. |
