how to post my mri so people could explain it

moderate degenerative disc changes, no critical central canal stenosis. there is a small subtle area of abnormal cool signal centered at t8-t9. if there is no specific myelopathic symptoms and no history of demyelinating disease at this point i would consider obtaining at least a short term follow up mir with contrast in 3 months.

findings
decreased t2 signal multiple levels, anterior spondylosis centered at t9-t10 most notably, vertebral height and alignment is grossly maintained. a few small steamroll nodes most notably at t11-t12

ther is no critical central canal stenosis, some disc bulging most notably t9-t10
the level of t8-t9, there is a small subtle focal area of increased t2 signal within the central aspect of the cord measures probably 6 to 7 mm in length at least 3 mm in diameter no evidence for cord expansion:confused:

I moved your post here since you had the MRI info ready for replies..:)

I bolded and highlighted some of the main points, the last part not sure about T2 signal and such..

We usually ask what are your symptoms and what /where is any pain?

becazican 11-11-2014 09:44 PM

had lots of back spasms now those are gone and just a lot of soreness around the ribs

Have you seen a chart like this to understand how spine relates to areas on the body?

Did you have an injury or strain? Maybe that was cause of the pain?

becazican 11-11-2014 10:06 PM

a month before this all started i moved so picked up a lot of heavy things, so the chart i see but what does it mean decreased t2 and increase t2

Had to look it up...

[Increased disc signal on T2-weighted images is associated with dehydration of the lumbar discs. Change in the disc signal, or darkening of the signal, is associated with dehydration or loss of hydrogen ions within the disc. This is often associated with lumbar disc degeneration. Decreased hydration leads to a loss of signal intensity on the T2 images which leads to darkening of the disc on the image ]
