Exercise intolerance

My neurologist is questioning whether I may have exercise intolerance, as I have other symptoms of a congenital metabolic syndrome but this has not yet been determine. My symptoms, however, don't seem to fit what I read in various medical articles I've looked up about exercise intolerance. Most of these articles talk about pain or severe fatigue upon exercising, but this doesn't fit what I have. For me, I generally feel fine during the exercise but later on in the evening I will have strong tingling particularly in my legs but also shoulder area, arms and sometimes torso. At night i will often waken with a sensation that the muscles are on the verge of seizing. None of this is painful. I do have peripheral neuropathy but affecting my lower legs only. I am hoping people here can share with me what their symptoms of exercise intolerance are, and if any one has ideas about what I may be experiencing.

Hmmmm... The last time I was working out in a gym I had to quit because I was in so much pain. I tore meniscus in both knees on top of that - but my thighs constantly ached!!! I wonder if that was exercise intolerance?

When I was experiencing the pain then, I looked into reasons why it might occur and there was the concept that acids would build up in the muscles and don't get released. I wonder if that's what is going on in your body.

In researching my own essential tremor that I inherited from my Dad, I have found that there might be a connection to diet - as in gluten. Have you looked into that at all? Just wondering. It seems that the tremor also affects cognitive skills.. great... I have been noticing that I lose words and train of thought quite a bit more than I used to. I thought it was just age - but it could be the brain..
Good luck with your search!! Let me know if you have looked into it being food related. I'm going to try no gluten and see what happens.

I do have pain and the more I walk or even exercise, it gets worse. My muscles stays tight and if I walk to much I can not lift my left leg. I have problems lifting my feet to walk. my right leg is starting to get bad too. I do not know if its because I may be putting too much weight on my right leg because of left leg or if my right leg is just getting bad too.
