New and confused

Hello All,

My history is long but I'd appreciate any feedback. PN for 2 years, now strange gait and coordination, the hannibal lecter face mask numb feeling and blurred vision. I do have an arachnoid cyst on my brain, but they all say it doesn't cause these symptoms. I had severe nausea and vomiting over two months with trips to the ER...the anti nausea meds i think are responsible for the the face, tongue and lip numbness but I have been off them for 4 days with no change. I need the doctor from "HOUSE" feel like a case study...thanks for listening. Sara

Hi, Sara! Welcome to NeuroTalk!

We have many forums here that each address some of the complications you are describing, there is a nifty search tool at the top of the page that might help you as a starting point.

Let us know if we can help you navigate the forums. See you out there.:)

Hi Sara,
Welcome , what have they tested you for so far?
Or, what has been ruled out in the Drs opinions?

Previous Tests

Hi All,

Thanks for your quick reply...unlike DR.s! I've had an EMG, MRI, CT, much blood work Neuro exam, edoscopy because I was vomiting so severly with lots of blood it showed gastritis , xray showing a herniated upper disc dismissed because I have no pain. My biggest fear was realized when I tell the truth about alcohol consumption they all say that it is the only cause even if I'm not actively drinking and it doesn't make a difference with the symptoms although I know PN is a big red flag I think there is another or more causes for my situation that haven't been pieced together. I have not been tested for Lymes yet and I understand from my parents who both had it, that the test is often inaccurate. I also have droopy eyelids...
