Made me think....

I was emailed the pome below.... I really liked it and made me think about how lucky i am to have each day... Sometimes pain over takes the happiness in my life but i know that i just one day... I thought i would share this with all of ya... It just made me stop and think... Hope you all are having a wonderful day...

Pain free hugs:hug:

Have you ever watched
the kids on a merry-go-round
or listened to the rain
slapping the ground?

Ever followed
a butterfly's erratic flight
or gazed at the sun
into the fading night?

Slow down, don't dance so fast.
Time is short and the music won't last.

Do you run through each day
on the fly?
When you ask “How are you?”
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done
do you lie in your bed
with the next hundred chores
running through your head?
Slow down, don't dance so fast.
Time is short and the music won't last.

Ever told your child
we'll do it tomorrow
and in your haste,
not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch
and let a good friendship die
cause you never found the time
to call and say “Hi?”
Slow down, don't dance so fast.
Time is short and the music won't last.

When you run so fast
to get some where
you miss half the fun
of getting there.

When you worry and hurry
through your day…,
it’s like an unopened gift
that was thrown away.

Life is not a race,
so take it slower
and hear the music,
before your song is over.

Thanks Wildberry,
I had read that quite a while back, but it's been awhile.

As tears Go By (Jagger/ Richards -1964)

It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Smiling faces I can see
But not for me
I sit and watch
As tears go by

My riches can't buy everything
I want to hear the children sing
All I hear is the sound
Of rain falling on the ground
I sit and watch
As tears go by

It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Doin' things I used to do
They think are new
I sit and watch
As tears go by
