Here's to continuing life!

DH bought a Gold Wing.

OK. Background. We have ridden motorcycles together since we dated in high school. Our last big ride was in 2004 when my sx were just beginning. Since then I have been unable to ride because the seat was just too uncomfortable. On the last ride I went in a car because I just couldn't handle it.

SO....he bought a Gold Wing with a big, cushy, comfy seat. There is a ride in May he is hoping we can go on. We are going to take some short jaunts in between now and then to see how I do.

Sure hope this works.

You are so much braver than me! DH has a BMW and anything over 15 mph terrifies me. You'll find a way to make this work - Goldwings are very comfy-looking - can't wait to hear about you out there riding and having fun!

Wow sounds like a great adventure...do post some pictures. My Olhipie's best friend was given access to a friends Harley for about a year. He was diagnosed with ALS almost five years ago. He rode until he couldn't. Now his power chair is detailed with Harley stuff. You go girl!!!

Congrats on the new ride! My dh and I used to ride back when I was in HS too. I'm too skeered to now, lol. I think they're cool though. (We have 3 old Indians and a truck load of Harleys in the family - none of em are dh's.)

You 2 have fun and be careful.

That's great!

Those are pretty big motorcycles so you should be comfortable.

I grew up on a farm so I got to 'drive' at a very early age. Was driving the tractor when I was 8. So for my 11th bday my dad bought me a little dirt bike.

Then when I got my license at 16 he bought me a Honda Nighthawk. When you're 16 a girl on a bike is a real turn-on to the guys ;)

Have fun!! and post us some pics!!

have fun on the new ride!

I tried to get my motorcycle endorsement, and managed to hurt my knee falling off the bike. I still want to learn to operate one, but DH and I had a long talk about my cog-fog problems getting in the way.

But at least I can still ride behind him and have a great time! :)

Get pics. Would love to see them!
