Broken shunt tube, child carrying. HELP

I've had 2 shunts pretty much all of my life. One was placed in a few weeks after birth, the other when I was 7 years old. All has been fine and well up until about 10 years ago when the most recent shunt tube snapped at the neck. Because it doesn't appear to be causing problems, and I've been functioning perfectly well with just one shunt for the last 10 years, my surgeon doesn't want to risk infection by removing it. Fair enough, but I now as an adult have a problem. I'll be getting married soon and my fiance and I would like to have children. My fear is that the broken tube will cause problems with a pregnancy, and how dangerous it could potentially be.
The tube although snapped at the neck, wriggled right down. Originally using x-rays, you could see the tip of the tubing where it had snapped, which was obviously quite jagged and sharp. But I recently had an x-ray for other reasons on my stomach. The Dr actually showed me the x-ray after it was done and you can't actually see the tube at all anymore. I have absolutely no idea where abouts in my body this tube is, and I worry that should we attempt having a child, the tube will cause problems and possibly harm my unborn baby.
Anyone think it may cause problems or will it be alright? *worried*
