gabapentin increases sunburn pain and stinging?

Hi,

I am now on 20mg on nortriptyline and dropping to 10mg tomorrow. My dr wanted me to get off the nortriptyline due to blurry vision. The blurry vision is a bit better at this dose. However, the difference in my sunburn burning pain is large between the 30mg and 20mg dose. I didn't think the nortriptyline was doing much for the burning but it must have been because I have been burning a lot (even when busy doing things, which is when I would typically not notice it as much). My face has been particularly sensitive. Do you think it's the drop in nortriptyline or am I having a reaction to the gabapentin? I am on 100:200:200 of gabapentin and upping to 100:200:300 tomorrow. The gabapentin isn't doing much other than making the twitching a little more dull (not decreasing the frequency). I don't feel the gabapentin is doing anything for the burning. Should gabapentin be giving me any relief from the burning at this dose? Does the dose need to be higher to start feeling the effects?

Have you tried Primrose oil? I started a week ago and I noticed my sunburn feelings have lessened. Not sure if its a coincidence but worth a try.
