Panik disorder and tegretol

Hi I have had panik disorder diagnosed 10 years ago which im taking meds for zoloft 50 mg and ativian 0.5 , They have been very well controlled until about 3 mons ago The only thing has changed is i deveoped TN after extensive dental work . I take tegretol 600mg per day since nov For atypical TN .. Could this tegretol actually be making my panic attacks come back .I am also getting daily naseua again could this be the tegretol?
Thanks rose

DL, hi and gald you found your way here, sorry that it is over TN. :(
I was on many different meds. It could be side effects and the combination of the 2 meds. You should know too that usually after a while, some people need to switch the meds they take for t.n. as the body builds up immunity and the med becomes less effective. and there are a good number of meds that help allot of people. So do not give up and keep getting all the info you can. google the meds you take and read the side effects and ask about taking the med with zoloft 50 mg and ativian 0.5 that you are on now.
Many blessings and keep us posted.
Peace

From what I have read, some of the medicines do make panic disorder worse. I also have suffered from panic/anxiety most of my life. I know what you are facing. I do not take any medicine for the panic but do take Pregabalin 50 mg for the TN. So far that is helping pretty well. I hope you find something that helps. I personally have tried most of the anxiety medicines and feel they only made my situation worse. God Bless. angie
