vein mapping
 
can anyone tell me how vein mapping is done ,i had a tunnelled catherter in my chest and it got infected ,so they had to remove it , so then they tried to put in a venous catheter in my groin but the Dr could not get it in so now they are going to do this vein mapping so that they can put in a dialysis access in for the pheresis im really getting tired of all the sticks :(

I'm so sorry that you are having so much trouble. I don't know how vein mapping works. My husband had the tunneled catheter type port in his chest for his chemo. He had it for about a year, and fortunately it never got infected, and worked until they finally took it out after the chemo was finished.
Hopefully one of the others with more knowlege will post an answer for you.
