osteophyte
Hi friends am new here I am 29years, hope someone can help me
I have neck back pain everyd due to osteophyte. MRI report : osteophyte formation at R. C5C6 with encroachment on the epidural space only. X RAY report : 1-Mild scoliosis with convexity. 2-Height loss C4 C5 (mostly) & c6 vertebral bodies. 3-Narrowing of C4/5 & C5/6 disc spaces. 4-Uncodiscarthrosis from C3 to C6. 5-Right C5/6 exit foramen narrowing. 6-Degenerative changes at C6/7 apophyseal joints. Anyone know what treatment can be do? Thx |
I moved your post here to our Spinal forum, it seemed a better fit for your issues.
Have you talked with a surgeon yet to see if any minor /day surgery could fix some of the encroachment issues? My dad had some bone spurs/calcium deposits causing problems that his surgeon was able to do a day surgery and grind away the worst of it. Just 3 small incisions/holes for the tools to do it. I'm sure it depends on the exact location where the problem is for each person. |

Here complete MRI report
MRI CERVICAL SPINE : Sequences performed: Sagittal T1 & T2 FSE; Axial T1 & T2 FSE without contrast. Axial & sagittal T1 post constrast. FINDINGS: -The cranio-cervical junction looks normal. -Normal alignment of the vertebral bodies. -There is no significant marrow replacement. -The cord exhibits normal size & signal intensity. -The discs retain height & signal intensity without any evidence of significant disc protrusion. -At C5C6 levels a R. sided osteophyte formation is seen from the lower & posterior margin of C5. It encroaches on the epidural space only without any encroachment on the exiting nerve root. -The spinal canal is patent. -No encroachment on the intervertebral foramina is seen. Comments: osteophyte formation at R. C5C6 with encroachment on the epidural space only. X RAY report : 1-Mild scoliosis with convexity. 2-Height loss C4 C5 (mostly) & c6 vertebral bodies. 3-Narrowing of C4/5 & C5/6 disc spaces. 4-Uncodiscarthrosis from C3 to C6. 5-Right C5/6 exit foramen narrowing. 6-Degenerative changes at C6/7 apophyseal joints.
