Hello

Hello. I'm happy this forum is here. I've been reading for awhile now. I have finally decided to join.
I suck at these introduction things. Just so you know.
I am a mother. I have 6 kids (5girls 1boy) My husband left 3 years ago so I am doing what I do with very little help from outside sources, I have to depend on myself and my kids need to be able to depend on me. No pressure there eh?
I enjoy long walks on the beach and good books. Unfortunatually, i dont live anywhere near a beach so books are my solice. I enjoy working with my hands. I weld, i am a former house builder/renovator. I went to college to be a teacher but I didn't graduate. The goal was to be an art teacher but I wanted to teach history and/or English as well. I took sculpting and painting and discovered I don't completely suck at it so I made it a hobby. I'm an Aquarius. I love animals-especially birds. I have trained several large birds (parrots, macaws, cockatoos...) and have welcomed many into my family. I have a degree in event planning. I would rather build houses than deal with bridezillas though. I am kinda a jack of all trades and hobbies for that matter.
I have quite a complicated medical history and from what I've read here, I'm not the only one. I hope this is a place where I can vent a little and listen a lot. I am really tired of feeling alone.
I have Marfans, a chiari malformation, a quadratic aortic valve, an Anurism on my optic nerve, glaucoma, macular degeneration, epilepsy, narcolepsy with cataplexy, a low self esteem, crohns, Barrett's esophagus, lupus, a cat, an African Grey, 2 koi and 2 dogs.
I've joined the forum today because I have some questions, I am getting discouraged, and I'm feeling really down lately.
I have come to the conclusion that I need to talk to people that understand what I'm dealing with. I have realized that I am not a direct descendant of Clark Kent or Linda Carter and I could greatly improve my outlook by looking outside my box a little.
So that's my intro.
Hopefully-I can help some of you and some of you can help me.
Thanks for being here. And there. And everywhere.
