Tight hug in back...grrr

Man, I've had a tightening in my back on the left side, around 6th-9th ribs, that's making it difficult to get a deep breath when it's occuring. It's off and on, but when it's on, I feel as if I have a tennis ball back there.

Besides that, I've been purposely making my right foot walk "normally"; ie not dragging, and now the outside of it hurts like heck...actually makes me think of taking a pain pill it hurts so much.

I feel like a mass of problems this week.:(:(

Ugh! I hate that! I sure hope it lets up soon for you.

Deb,
Sorry to hear you are having this pain :( I do hope that tomorrow brings you some relief. :)

Sorry Debbie, hope it gets better real soon, is it ms hug or did you possibly strain anything?

YESSS the rib cage, spasming, tight, so tight it takes our breath away kind of pain !!! is my biggest and longest complaint.

I have all kinds of good guesses of what he could be, inflammation or costochrondritis which is very real and very painful, to MS hug, to fibromyalgia.

You too may never get an exact DX but hope you find relief. I take Methocarbamol a muscle relaxant that is not that drowsy, with ibroprofin or neurontin if its so horrible I cannot sleep.

Gentle gentle hugs to you my dear... get some relief and soon..

Jan

i HATE drop foot. I drag mine over things, and it makes me trip! I am working hard at PT to improve it.

MS hug is awful! I find mine is worse when I am laying down.

Thanks all...still bothering me...I guess it's time to call the neuro. But since his NP dxd me not with MS but with anxiety and depression, I'm skittish about returning...thinking about calling my pcp.
Jan, it very well could be fibro, but I've had it for over 20 yrs., and I've never had this so tight before. I've experienced the trunk hug before, but this is really lasting a long time. Trying to do stretches, meditation in case I am tight from stress, but it still lingers.
My poor foot hurts like he77 when I walk too much. Trying to allow it to do it's thing by dragging again, but it still aches. Sometimes it feels like the neuropathy, sometimes it feels like plantar fasciitis, but all I know is it hurts!!
