Just Joined!

Hello, I just joined yesterday and am also from Australia (Adelaide) having discoverd this forum a few days ago. I am not yet confident with regards Posting, navigating, joining groups, etc., etc. What a relief to find something like this! My condition is Peripheral Neuropathy (or, in my case, aslo known as alcoholic neuritis). I have suffered from this for nearly 5 years - and it has been an absolute nightmare. I have had no-one to talk to about it - I have not told my family (surely they must pick-up that something is wrong??) AND doctors have been worse than useless. I have never written anything on a forum before. I have Cockatiel (small parrot) named Belle - I credit her with keeping me relatively sane (??) through all of this. Anyway, I would love to start "meeting" new people and sharing ideas... any suggestions? I am so impressed with how caring the members are.
