Computer keyboard

What's the life expectancy of a computer keyboard? I've had mine 6 years.

I dont think there really is one, unless they are damaged, they can last 20+

I still have a 386 with Windows 3.1 on it and its the original keyboard...some of the letters are worn, but it still works :D

Hi Blessings

I had to giggle at your post. My key board no longer has visiable letters on the Keys! I have tapped them right off. I think mine is about 6 years old too. Maybe it is time to invest in a new one. I am glad I learned to type in High School the correct way. I know quite a few people however who do the one two finger method :winky: It is funny to watch. Have a good day. ginnie:hug:

When it quits working.:D
I had to get a more ergonomic/comfortable one , have an old one for a spare.

Mine's 9 or 10 years old now :D

Well, I only have one key that doesn't work, but since I live in Vermont, I need the "V"! I'm using the standard cheapy one that came with my computer and I HATE IT!! I keep hitting the wrong keys, and my wrists feel funny. I also had worn off a couple of letters--the M is completely gone!

I type 74 words per minute on my ergo keyboard...I'm guessing about 14 on this thing!! I think I'd do better to hunt and peck than to do it right but have to keep backspacing and starting over!!

Waiting patiently for my friends at Amazon to send me my new one.

I'm buying the exact same model that just croaked. Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. $36.99. They have something for wireless, but that would not be me. My fingers loved it.

Mine is a Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000, have a second one for when this one gets something spilled in it.. for while it dries after washing it.
and an older keyboard that still works , just in case..

I've had keyboards and keyboards and the best (in my humble opinion) that worked the very best for me, was the Microsoft broken up one (don't know what's it's called). When I first got it and I saw the two sides I said out loud OMG, I'll never learn to use this thing.

I was so wrong. That was the absolute easiest keyboard to type with. My typing just flowed, but then again, I've been clocked at 145 so I know a good keyboard when I find one.

Right now I am typing on a large print yellow key thing.

I thought I was getting the Keys u See keyboard. Now THAT was a keyboard.

But if his one ever goes, I'm going back to the broken up Microsoft one.
