Hello Marsha
I am very glad to meet you. My name is ginnie, and I try to hang around to welcome new folks to this forum. You have found a compassionate group with Neuro Talk. I am so sorry to hear you have to deal with MG. There are people who can help you, and talk to you about this disorder. I hope you are getting good treatment, with fantastic doctors in your corner. There will be people along to welcome you more. I have found alot of new friends here, as well as help for my own conditions. take care, ginnie

Hi Marsha - welcome to the forum. Lots of interesting and knowledgeable folks here who have a great deal of personal experience that they are willing to share. Hope to see you here often.

Welcome, Marsha. I hope you are doing okay with MG. If you want to know some more, you can go to www.myasthenia.org
There are some things you might want to know right away, in case you don't. Some drugs, stress, infections, surgery, lack of sleep, hot and/or cold temperatures and other things can make MG worse. If you have sudden increased weakness (generalized), bad shortness of breath where you can't breathe in and/or out well or you can't swallow, that's the time to dial 911. MG can get weak very quickly if you are in an MG crisis and it's hard to tell how things will go. If you have questions, these guys are great at giving you answers and support. MG is a doable disease but you have to know as much as you can about it and the treatments available. I hope you can live well with it. Annie |

There was an article written from a doctor from Baylor , says that stress induced myasthenia gravis causes the negative anti bodies to mutate and multiply , I showed the article to my fathers neuro doctor, I don't think she agreed. I think they all just practice and no one case is really the same. Thanks y'all from texashaman, hope everyone better health

Sounds interesting...do you have reference to article?....or name of Baylor doc? Thanks
