Taking Inderal for my tremors

Hello! Thankyou all, for being there. I haven't posted on this New Braintalk site. I have been diagnosed with PD for almost three years. I take inderal 20 mg. 2 or 3 times daily, and sinemet 25/250, 2 in the AM, 1 at Noon, and 1 in the evening, if I need to. Also, I take requip 2 times per day. I still work full time, and keep myself medicated throughout the day. I work in an unsupportive environment and am extremely stressed for most of the day. It is amazing that just writing about it, and my left shoulder has started to ache. Anyway, I find that the inderal and sinemet seem to work the best and the requip doesn't seem to do much except maybe slow me down which maybe helps my tremor. I haven't really read about anyone on here taking inderal for PD. Does anyone have experience with it? Also, do any of you use carnitine? I've heard it helps to repair mitochondria if taken with co Q 10. Thanks! JL

Not when he sees the neurologist

Inderal is, I believe, the brand name for propranolol which is a betablocker. This is prescibed for many complaints including essential tremor. My husband was originally prescibed it when the G.P thought he had essential tremor .When he saw a neurologist specialising in movement disorders he was told he had P.D and to take Requip and the propranolol. This he continues to do.Despite the propranolol his tremor can, on occassions ,be quite pronounced. Not when he see the local neurologist though !!!Is this like the tooth ache stopping when you see the dentist?
