question for those with anxiety disorders?

Hey all, been member of neurotalk for quite a while. Usually in the MS board, or other places. I am undx, with many neurological sxs...

I guess due to being told once that some of my sxs are anxiety related thought I would check in here. Just wondering any with anxiety disorders...do you have memory issues, numbness and tingling till it gets so bad it is pins needles tingling...these kindof sxs?? just curious...

With all my sxs, and not having heart irregularitys and no like attacks of feeling anxious...I dont think my sxs are due to this...just on a whim..thought though I would ask others....also I dont have any of my sxs, numbness stuff, memory stuff, balance issues, NONE of my sxs when pregnant.....
when I asked that dr about why then that...she said cause I am HAPPY when I am pregnant!!! (first time meeting that dr....how does she know when I am happy...hehe) thanks for any replies..hugssss,sarah

Sarah Nice to meet you. With my anxiety problems,I definitely have memory problems. I had problems in school because of anxiety. My memory is not good when It comes to recall of what I've just heard.

I have also had numbness down my forearms,and tingling at the same time. Sometimes my hands tingly. I have felt the pins,and needles feeling on my face,and I numbness in my cheeks. Sometimes my face will turn pinkish,and the skin will heat up. When that happens,I'll fog up car windows.:Scratch-Head:

I don't know if this helped. BF:hug::hug:

Hola 11-30-2008 07:48 PM

Hi, I've had panic attacks for about a year. I'm not sure if the daily Copaxone injections or the Solu-Medrol created them or too much Levothyroxine created them, which brought upon Tachycardia now...again. I've battled with a non-functional thyroid since birth. But, I do think that life changing events can bring upon intense panic attacks. My mind goes into overdrive every night, causing insomnia and I take Xanax which no longer seems to work. I've tried relaxation cd's, teas, essential oils, yet I suffer in silence with panic every single night. The nights are the worst for them to take full charge of my mind. Best of luck to you in finding out what is going on with you. :winky:

I think you should try inositol...

My husband, son and I use this daily for anxiety issues.

Start at 500mg a day at night. 500mg works for me.
My husband and son use more--in the 2 gram range daily.

This is a very benign substance and seems to help the brain use glucose.I have some panic/anxiety in the night, which wakes me up sometimes with a pounding heart. When I use the inositol I don't get this situation at all.

Are you feeling any better? Have the panic attacks started to subside a little. I hope that you are feeling better. Panic Attacks usually stop after awhile. What I mean is they are not continual. Certain things can create the fear of a panic attack. The dread is the thing that can make you feel uneasy. How are you doing? BF:hug:
