Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Hebei Medical University, Shijiazhuang 050017, China.

The meridian-collateral system of traditional Chinese medicine refers to the regulating system composed of the known loose connective tissue, liquid-Qi of tissue, energy substances, nerves, blood vessels, lymph, etc. existing in the fascia space between the skin, muscles and bone and some associated unknown synthetic functions. This hypothesis of meridian-collateral, Qi-passage, and fascia space composed of multiple substances is probably able to unify different viewpoints about that the meridian-collateral system is in fact an integrated substance of nerves, body fluid and energy. In the present paper, the authors introduce their viewpoints about the essence of meridian-collaterals from nerves, humor and energy, and unknown function of the known anatomical structure.

I spoke to Dr Huh at Duke University and he told me that he doesnt think it would help me because of the spread...Pretty much told me CMT would most likely not work:mad:

I am responsible for organizing CMT seminars in the US. I accepted this post after witnessing a dramatic improvement of an CRPS patient right in front of my eyes. If fact, Dr. Huh of Duke University MC was instrumental in that case. After that, I was personally involved in arranging three CRPS patients to receive CMT treatments, two of them with significant improvement. While no x-blind study had been done on CMT - CRPS, CMT does work relatively well for CRPS.

So far, very few doctors in the US had gone through enough CMT training to treat CRPS. Hopefully, there will be more in a few years.
