"blocking an enzyme called prolyl oligopeptidase clears the mice's brains of an accumulated protein that is the hallmark of [PD], halts further brain damage, and corrects movement impairment."

Some botanicals inhibit prolyl oligopeptidase, for instance [2]:
- baicalin;
- berberine.

In a 2012 post to this forum, wxxu mentions taking baicalin in Chinese Skullcap. [3]. I'd be grateful for an update, please, wxxu.

That was a couple years ago. I tried one bottle (90 Cap, 400 mg x 90) and stopped because it made me sleep way too much. In recent years I have tried Berberine (500 mg/day), and it has made me feel better overall. My blood sugar, fat and BP are completely normal after two months of taking Berberine.
