I heard back from the eye Dr.

He just emailed me this,

Julie,
Sorry, it took me awhile to get back with you I have been out of town at a conference. I did discuss your case with another colleague today. What I would like to do is repeat the visual field in the left only to see if the defects that were present will show any consistency. If there are defects seen again in the visual field that suggest an optic neuritis then treatment will likely be needed. If the MRI's that have been done do not show any typical plaques for MS then it might be in your best interest to be seen by a neuro-ophthalmologist because the field test that was initially done is suggestive for some type of optic neuropathy. When would you be available to come back in and repeat the visual field test in the left eye. There will not be a charge at this visit. Please let me know your availability for this week.
Dr. B

So I still need to go back one more time before he knows whats going on with my eye.

Seems as if you are being looked after...I hope that you get some answers as to what's causing all of this.
Good luck!:)

I go back today at 11:00 to retest the visual field on my left eye. Dr. said if there is the same loss of vision than it's ON, if there's any change I need to see a Optho/Neuro.

My loss of vision is the inside of my eye (near my nose) and I can cover my right eye (good eye) and still see that I can't see very far to my right if I keep my eye straight ahead.

I'm at almost 7 weeks with this going on, I can't believe the ER Dr. missed this and my neuro didn't even care and didn't look at my eye. Oh I hate Dr.'s so much.

:) Hi Julie,

Well, there are good docs and bad docs. We never know where in the class at med school they graduated. Ever asked a doc what his GPA was in med school? You will never get a straight answer.

At least you have one good doc taking a serious interest in your symptoms. I would also discuss with him the possibility of getting a referral to a neuro-op that he personally knows. The medical community is small and they all know who is good and who isn't.

Best of luck to you and let us know how the appt went.

I'm back, I saw the other Dr. (Dr. B.'s wife) and she said she's thinking ON also but I have to wait and see what Mr. B says when he comes in this afternoon. He might not let me know until tomorrow tho.
