We were invited out to dinner last night (payback) by a couple of old gentlemen friends and they took us to a restaurant that my brother used to love. I hadn't been there in at least 15 years and had forgotten how good the food was and why Jack loved it so. I'm not waiting 15 years to go back. :D

Am having lunch tomorrow with my former neighbor...said she recently had a "melt down" in her dr's office and needs to talk about "it"...her son's suicide. :(

Saturday is the Suicide Prevention Walk that Mr.Alffe & I are participating in...there is actually a Run but we will do the walk instead..:o..the weather doesn't look too promising but maybe the rain will hold off.

It is so humid here that the grass stays wet most of the day and makes it hard to cut...need to get the barnyard done before it gets any higher.

I'm getting used to this laptop! and enjoying the last few hours of my vacation... i work this afternoon until 9 pm.

Alffe, did your neighbour move away because of her son? She is lucky to have you :hug:

Thank you Addy. No, my neighbor moved because they had finished building their lake home and put the house in town on the market. It was so sad...they had owned a small house, on a fair sized lake in Michigan and over the years, they would add wings onto the house in anticipation of spending summers together with their two sons and their families when they married. Now they are down to one son and his family in a lake house that is too big. :(

Even tho there are 2 plate threads (thanks for noticing Koala..:D) I'm going to work on this one. I need to get my mind focused on going to N.Y. on Thursday..need to stop wearing the clothes I'll be packing. We have tickets to see Million Dollar Quartet..http://www.broadway.com/shows/million-dollar-quartet/
and are looking forward to it...we also plan on exploring Brooklyn this time.
Also staying at a new location..very near Times Square so it is a different subway line...I leave that to Mr.Alffe as I have NO sense of direction. :o

Also looking forward to little sister coming to meet Barbo and me for lunch on Wed...Redamaks...where else!!

It was nice to get into the hot tub last night..we've turned it way down due to the heat so it was refreshing at 93 degrees. It's fun to watch the hummingbirds at the feeders.

trying to get back into the swing of things.... fighting depression on a daily basis. waiting for the zoloft to kick in.... :(
