Looking for support

I've joined today in hopes of support and perhaps to gain some coping tips. I am 6 weeks today status post Anterior Cervical (C2-3) Discectomy with Fusion. My neck is healing well with minimal discomfort. However, I suffered a bruise to my spinal cord when the disk ruptured which has left me with dyesesthia in all ten fingers. My fingers are so sensitive I can hardly touch my clothes to dress or towels to bathe. I am taking Neurontin 300mg three times a day and Tylenol with codeine as needed. None of the meds really do much but mask the sensation a bit. Does anyone have any ideas to share...?
