Pain in adjacent tooth after extraction.

A week ago, I got my right side pre molar extracted in order to get braces. And got left side pre molar extracted 4 days ago. The left side is doing just fine . My issue is that the molar next to the extraction side of the right side pre molar still hurts even after a week. Its hurts when I bite and apply pressure to it. I am very worried since I've never had this kind of toothache. What can be the problem?

azkaahmed,

Did you mention the pain on the right side to the oral surgeon when he extracted the left pre molar? Or did the pain just start today?

The molar on the right that hurts, is it root canaled or does it have a cavity or large filling in it?
