My greatest nemesis...

SALT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else have this prob?? I have managed to get my fat and sugar intake under excellent control, and I'm eating much better all around, but trying to keep salt down is killing me!! I wasn't told I had to for med reasons, thank God, but I gain a lot of water weight from it, and just trying to hold my intake down for the sake of purging the water weight before Fri weigh-in is torture.

I should say I never pick up a salt shaker, but many of the foods I eat are high in sodium, and if I try to eat lower-sodium versions of the same food, I'm not attracted to them.

Anyone else have this problem?? How do you cope??

LIZARD, so annoyed with myself  :o

Hi Liz, When I have the low salt versions of some foods I find that adding other spices will make up for the low salt taste that they have. There are many spices on the market that are different spices with no salt but I like to just make my own. I am not a big salt junkie but hubby and daughter are. The crave all the salty stuff while my son and I are chocolate fiends :D ...SUe
