Ketamine infusions.

How long does it take for the ketamine infusions to start working? Did you notice lowered pain after the first day/week? How were your experiences with it? I don't know how to think or feel about them. Hoping they work but I don't know. Sorry for so many question..

Hi Blazed-kitty,

That's not too many questions. There are different protocols and mine is atypical so I can't answer to what it's like to get the 10 day protocol or the inpatient. Mine is outpatient and has tapered from every two weeks to every 6-8.

You can read all about my infusions here. I have documented quite a bit of that experience. You can use the search feature at the top of the page to find other threads. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread220186.html

My relief was not immediate and was not earth shattering which was what my PM expected. It built over time but was definitely noticeable. I have tolerated the ketamine well, though I do feel kinda bleh the day I get them. It is anesthesia after all.

For me they have been a big help and I plan to continue with boosters. I hope these get you some relief if you decide to go ahead.

Sending hugs and healing love,
