I wish! Actually my daughter wishes she had one. I don't really care if I have one or not. They look totally amazing. I've only seen them on tv. They'll be released here later in the year for Xmas or even early 2008 for Australia. That's what they're saying on the apple Australia site anyway, so it'll be a while before I see one.

AUSTRALIANS might get their hands on a touchscreen iPod before they can touch the iPhone.

In Australia the iPhone's release will rely on negotiations with carriers and adapting its technology to our networks.

Every full-time Apple staff member in the US is getting a free iPhone
Is that $600 US for REAL???

One of our Australian Office sites I was looking at just now says it's smaller than I thought it was.

Also said that in the US, AT&T have exclusive agreement to sell two versions of it, and also says it's mandatory 2 year contract so I guess that'll take the price up from the $600 US , but I imagine the 2 year contract and extra services is on top of that so that'll take the price sky high? Actually they're mentioning two versions. One for $499 US and one for $599 US but I'm reading it as being the cost of only the item without the contract. Is that right?

razzle, there's a very nice looking Guided Tour on the apple website that I'm just looking at now. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the site here though.
It sounds as if it has some drawbacks.

The Australian IT news says "APPLE'S hotly anticipated iPhone could cost as much as $US3000 ($3548) with a required two-year service contract, but a handful of eager fans have still lined up early to spend their money."

I think I'd rather go to Tahiti or Tuscany. :)

I WANT ONE!!!!

Phew, I feel better now.

AT&T, formerly Cingular is the deal breaker for me.

One is 4gb and the other 8gb. This is a huge leap in innovation as it will be almost all our gadgets in one. I'm most impressed with the websurfing capabilities, but, I might be a little biased, I've been a devoted Apple user since my 9" b&w with a mega harddrive of 64k and my radical 100bps modem.

Those were the days!
