OT, but happy about it

I just wanted to tell everyone that I got a call from my youngest son, Drew, on Thanksgiving. That alone is good news, lol.

He wanted to talk to me before he went to his wife's family dinner. He wanted me to be the first to know... my first grandchild is on the way!!! YAAA-HOOO!!! :Excited:

Oh Rogue, "Congratulation's"!! I know all too well how you feel, when we first heard that my youngest son's wife was expecting... We were all so excited!! Does it make you feel old?? Heck, no! You feel younger as they have you playing games with them, running your butt off.. then shipping them back to mommy and Daddy!! LOL Bill and I have 3 now. Congrats again!! Love, Desi

Thanks much, you three! I am overjoyed, to say the least. :D

I wish it was going to be the way you described, Desi... but there's no way. Michael and I are in no condition to have the child here without the parents. I won't get to see them often, but a couple of times a year will work fine for us.

I just mainly wanted to know that I had a grandchild before this all ends for me. I want to hold the kid in my arms, and know how lucky he/she is going to be, having Drew and Kati as parents. I raised Drew very well (pats self on back, lol), and Kati's parents did fine too.

Wish me luck... today is my MRI to see how bad this Chiari malformation is. I guess I won't know much until next week, though, when I see the neuro. I'm hoping I can get the tech to at least tell me how many cm's long it is. I already know that I'll most likely need brain surgery, but knowing how extensive it will be would be a comfort.

Thanks again for the congrats :D I feel very blessed.
