This was when they still were txing for RSI /bilateral wrist strain only.
They just used it the one time to test my forearms. The muscles were not relaxing at all even after many PT sessions. Basically they placed the electrodes on the area in question. then get a baseline reading , the one they had had a line of lights that showed the tension level. no lights was full relaxation and more lights lit up meant more tension. then they had me do some light weight lifts w/wrist only- arms stabilized on a support bench- it also showed a imbalance in the top muscle vs the lower muscles. They used it more a a testing thing, not as a help to mentally relax/release soreness or tension. PS. I learned about triggerpoints & spasms after that. I think those were more of the problem. Once those were addressed the forearm tension resolved on it's own. I did have a very arm use intensive job - gripping, twisting, static postures, arms forward/raised & speed. So it may have been a combo of bilat wrist/arm and then the TOS type stuff came into play from the years of 10 hr days & forward postures/positions. |
Thanks for sharing.
I'm pretty sure I could light up a Christmas tree with my neck. |
