PN and Bunions?

Anyone heard of a relationship between PN & bunions?

My PCP said my heel spurs could be caused by my neuropathy as well as other factors such as weight, age, arthritis, etc.

Could there be a PN relationship with bunions?

I have to get an appt with my podiatrist because my right foot is exhibiting pains on the 7-8 scale within the past 2 weeks. I've just come back from a week out of town and the base of the large toe (bunion area) is painful and swollen. Even to the touch when applying foot cream.
My RN wife says it could be a bunion.

Anyone else have problems like this?

Thanks - in advance

Sorry to hear this.

Bunions are a chronic long term thing..taking years to develop.

That joint can be affected by broken or slipped sesamoid bones, and/or arthritis, and gout.

This website is really good IMO...showing pictures and possibilities for pain in the feet:
