Mthfr

Hello,
I went to 23 and me to purchase the kit for the MTHFR.
Now FDA does not allow them to get your health reports included.
Anyone done this in 2014 to know the workaround?
Thanks so much.

This thread discusses evaluation of the test.
Basically you look up your results on the net yourself.

Thank you mrsD.

I saw this earlier. I didn't know that so many roadblocks can occur even with DNA.

Guess they got into trouble with providing health information. FDA and AMA are pretty powerful.

Yes, Big Pharma and Big Medical want their bucks.

If you can adjust your lifestyle based on your genetics, you are
taking food out of their pockets.

23andme was making doctors embarrassed since they could not
interpret the results often for their patients!

Maybe in another 10 yrs doctors will catch up?

Here in "progressive" Maryland, outfits like 23andme and other direct-to-consumer medical testing companies can't even take orders from the state. There are ways around it of course, but that just goes to show you what happens when you live in a state with a powerful medical lobby.

I've taken the 23andme test by the way and found it very enlightening. It hasn't helped with my SFN to date, but I continue to dig.
