Pyridostigmine Dosing

Last week they put me on Pyridostigmine. I began with 30mg after meals. Beginning yesterday I was to up that dosage to 60 at the same intervals. What I am finding I feel better after my second dose and it continues through the evening. The issue is now that I go back in the tanks each night and wake up and start the whole process over again. I am also taking 80mg of prednisone every other day to try and get thing under control. I do not see my neuro again until November 5th so I am wondering if I need to give him a call and perhaps ask if I should be taking the Pyridostigmine around the clock so I do not keep riding this roller coaster.

There's a slow-release version of Pyridostigmine called "mestinon timespan." You take it at night and it goes into your system slowly and gradually. It's so you don't have to get up every four hours to take your pill.

Is the time release a lot more expensive?
