Hello new and tingling here lol

Hi I made my first post already as a reply as I needed answers to some things I am ignorant about with regards to b12 deficiency.

The thread is here somewhere but it needs approval first before it can be seen.

In short I am John ... 41 years old and live in Maine in the USA.

I have Pernicious Anemia caused by Ulcerative Colitis and have experienced the same symptoms of B12 deficiency as many of you here have.

I found a thread Googling for some info and joined your community to get some insight into B12 deficiency as to help me get a better grasp of treating it.

so basically my first post here was in that thread having to do with b12 deficiency and Pernicious Anemia and it is a long post as a reply to it.

Anyway hello and all of that, it seems like a very helpful forum here and will help whatever ignorance I have about the disease as you have lived through it longer than I and can share personal experieinces and which treatments work etc.

Thank you :)

And I made a long response to your post in the other thread (cindy B12 deficiency):

Hi John, and welcome to NT!

We're so glad you found us! :)

Welcome to NT!

This really is a great place to gather information about various neuro conditions. However, it's even more than that.

NT is a community that can help so much to reduce the fear, frustration and sense of isolation that often accompanies dealing with a serious illness. We have subgroups for everything from political junkies to gardeners. I hope you will make yourself right at home.

Cheers

Thank you, I left a response to that and thank you tremendously for the links. This place is going to be very helpful to me through your own experiences.

I feel better already :)

Hockey huh? I am a hockey addict ... I play hockey at least twice a week in the summer and more in the winter.

Dealing with fatigue and other neuro disorder symptoms has NOT been easy.

Do you play?

A serious car accident ended my playing days and I really miss it. I also coached and I miss the kids, too. (Although not all of their parents. lol)

Cheers

Oh nooo .... that is terrible. That must have been a very difficult transition to give up hockey or be forced to.
