In this fifth episode, my friend, Ilene Kouzel, talks with me about her decision to reject mechanical aid devices that could prolong her life while the disease continues its destructive path. She chooses instead to accept the reality of imminent death and live fully in the moment. Ilene reveals the challenges of living that way, without fear and with a focus on who she is becoming--not only in this life, but in preparing for the next realm. The interview was taped last summer and Ilene died of ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's disease) in October 2006.
