Anyone with any experience with tingling from spinal problems?
 

Ive been posting in different message boards hoping to find someone who is going thru something similar or has info abot it and i never get any responses :rolleyes: lol so im hoping that maybe someone here may be knowledgeable about this stuff and any comments or thoughts would really ease my anxiety about this :)
Ive had MRI of brain cerv thorac and lumbar. Brain was clear, but they found multiple hemangiomas, meningeal diverticula, shuermanns, mild levoscoliosis, bulging disc, possible osteoblastoma but no nerve impingement with any of these issues. Ive been having tingling/numbness/weakness in my legs,feet, and calves and notice to mainly experience these sensations when my lower back feels really tight. Ive been thru the ringer with tests from neuros/rhematologists/etc. tested for MS as well and everything came out clear. Im hoping to chalk it up to these spinal issues but the drs insist that it gives no explanation as to my symptoms and cant give me any explanation otherwise. My blood tests are all fine and my b12 is over 1000 so i know its not a b12 issue. And i take 5000 iu of vitamin d a day as well. Do any of you think that it could be related to my spinal issues? or have any experience where there was no clinical proof of nerve impingement but you believe there is? Hi -- I've had a neurosurgeon tell me that I COULDN'T have any pain because he fixed me! Well, let me tell you that the pain has brought me to my knees at times! Doctors don't know everything! LOL

Do you have the results of the MRI that you could print out here? Sometimes we can tell better if we see the MRI results. Just because you don't have a herniated disc doesn't mean that there isn't pain! Other things could be causing your symptoms. Without seeing your MRI, I would say that YES the symptoms could be from your spine.

My husband is going through the same thing. He had spinal surgery and now has peripheral neuropathies and arachnoiditis. He has the tingling, numbness, weakness, etc in his legs too. Have you had an EMG and/or skin biopsy done? These 2 tests were done because the MRI's just weren't giving us enough answers. To me there was no reason why a seemingly healthy man of 45 was having these kinds of symptoms & pain
I'm not a doctor but isnt meningeal diverticula abnormal dilations of the nerves (nerve root cyst)? Its been my experience that anything impinging on the nerves, (such as a bulging disk thats flaired up) can cause your symptoms.
I also noticed you mentioned your B12 level. Have you ever had low B12? If you have, this can also be the problem. Once your B12 goes low a certain level, (subacute combined cord degeneration/pernicious anemia) the damage that is done is irreversible-even after your B12 levels come back to normal
Hope this helps or at least gives you an avenue to explore
