Tons Better

Just wanted to let you guys know what has worked for me. I've been feeling about 90% well for the past week or more.
  • I took prescribed Prednisone for about 12 days to knock out the inflammation.
  • Naps each day.
  • When the kid was screaming or there's too much stress, I went to lay down and left it behind.
  • I took as much time off work as I needed too. (I'm lucky to be able to do this.)
  • I crammed the food in. High natural fats, tons of protein - loads of boiled eggs and fish, and everything green I could fit in my stomach. I had about two snacks in between each meal. Nothing refined or simple that would cause low blood sugar.
  • I physically rested. I barely walked around at all but I always did what I could without producing symptoms the next day. I pushed everything every day to about 80% of what brought on symptoms. If something brought on symptoms I backed it down the next day. I could feel symptoms coming on almost immeditately so this part was a no brainer for me for the most part. Some of you seem to get more delayed reactions.
Anyway, i'm not 100% but I'm not about to complain about the remaining 10. This is great. I have been working, engaging in social activities, and even mulched the front yard.

So it was either the prednisone, rest, food, or simply time. It's been 2 months for me and the doctor said 3 months was key. I think by 3 months I should be closer to that 100. I hope. I do believe however - and I don't mean to be pesimistic. I think this is realistic - I won't be back to real exercise with my running, swimming, biking for quite a while. I think that will be a few more months to even be starting small. I will get there by fall or winter.

Best of luck to everyone.

Very good news

That is great news freezerdoor. Make sure to stay "sub-threshold" of symptoms as you work towards a complete recovery.
